Direct-to-Garment Printer

What is it?

Print directly onto cotton t-shirts, apparel, tote bags and other products in minutes from the comfort of your desktop

with the VersaSTUDIO BT-12 Direct-to-Garment (DTG) printer.

How do you use it?

  • Prepare an object to print using one of the following methods

    • Find, download, and save an already-made image file (please make sure the image isn't under copyright or trademark).

    • Design your own image using CorelDraw, Adobe Illustrator, or the Roland Design Software for printing.

    • Save your file to a flash drive, email the file to yourself, or save it to your Google Drive.

  • Visit Ms. Tisher in the media center with your file to prepare it for printing. Check the dimensions of your design before it prints. All jobs must be paid for in advance and are non-refundable once they've been printed.

What is the largest object the DTG printer can print?

  • 11.5” x 8”

What types of materials can the printer print on?

  • Material: 50 to 100% cotton (100% Ringspun cotton is recommended)

  • NOT compatible with fabrics with less than 50% cotton such as nylon or quick-drying materials

  • Thickness: less than 4mm

  • Weight: less than 1kg

  • Fabric color: White or light-colored

How much does it cost?

  • The cost depends on the size of the print. Size A4 (8.27 × 11.69 inches) is $6; size A5 (5.83 × 8.27) is $4; and 110mm x 110mm (~4.33" x 4.33") is $2. You will need to supply your own material to print on.

How long does it take?

  • Prints usually take a few minutes to print, depending on the sizes of the objects. Objects will be printed on a first-come, first-serve basis. However, objects that are school-related will be printed before objects that are not for school.
